We were founded in 2015 to create a youth focused Earth Day event that would inspire hope and empower positive change. Our Earth Day event would help to address the often overwhelming environmental challenges of our time. Since that first event, our Longmont Earth Day Celebration has grown to become one of Boulder County’s biggest Earth Day events and an annual tradition for many Longmont families.
SRL has grown in scope in the years since and now hosts multiple events a year, campaigns for sustainable practices in our community, and works with the City to implement real change in Longmont.
Sustainable Resilient Longmont collaborates with the Longmont community to cultivate a sustainable and thriving city. As the hub for education, advocacy and action, we support the three pillars of sustainability: environmental protection, responsible economic growth and social equity.
